BLM proudly supporting the SA Rural Women's Gathering


More than 350 women are expected to attend this event which has a variety of workshops, speakers, tours and entertainment.

The aim of the SA Rural Women’s Gathering is to:

Develop communication networks, knowledge and skill through participation, experience and contact with other women;
Link women from rural backgrounds with members of formal or informal networks across South Australia; and
Provide access to opportunities for self-development, self-expression and information.

Each year the event has a theme, with the 2015 theme being “Use It or Lose It”, which could relate to health, the community or the wider environment.

This year the event will be held from the 25th to the 27th of September.

The Consumer Award is open to businesses that produce or manufacture food in South Australia, with the head office of the business, or at least 50% of production, based in South Australia.

Blue Lake Milling Inducted into the Hall of Fame


Blue Lake Milling Pty Ltd is delighted to have been announced as the ‘Telstra Large Business Award Winner’ for the second year running at the 2014 South Australian Limestone Coast Regional Awards presentation evening held at The Barn Bistro in Mount Gambier on Friday 24th October.

The South Australian Regional Awards are held annually to celebrate and showcase the achievements of individuals, groups and organisations that have made significant contributions to regional South Australia. In 2014 within the Limestone Coast region alone over 250 submissions were received by the judging panel demonstrating the strength of the beautiful and diverse region within which Blue Lake Milling operates.

Blue Lake Milling was also inducted into the prestigious Regional Awards Hall of Fame. Designed to honour those companies / individuals who have won three or more Regional Awards on different occasions since its inception in 2000 irrespective of the year or the category, the Hall of Fame has 17 past winners listed to date.

Bordertown based family business Blue Lake Milling, is thrilled to have been announced as the winner of South Australia's best Regional Exporter Award at the Business SA 2014 Export Awards Presentation luncheon held on Friday 10th October at the National Wine Centre in Adelaide.

The Business SA 2014 Export Awards celebrate exporting excellence in South Australia, recognising companies for their innovation and success in industry and export.

Sponsored by PIRSA, the Regional Exporter Award is presented to a company that has demonstrated outstanding export achievements and that has their head office based in a non-metropolitan location.

Blue Lake Milling has developed a strong and reputable market presence, both domestically and internationally, with its range of oat and cereal based food and food ingredients manufactured from only high quality Australian conventional and organic grains. More than 20 years of experience in grain purchasing, good food manufacturing practices and international trade has set a strong backbone for recent increases in sales to both new and existing markets throughout the Asia Pacific Rim and beyond.

The Business SA Export Awards are a part of a national program. As a winner Blue Lake Milling automatically becomes a finalist in the 52nd Australian Export Awards.
